Thank you all for being so nice to work with. Acres comes back in January and will take back these swaps then. I really miss her on here but sometimes family just needs you. I was glad I could help out.

Scrambled ! It was a one day class, and I think I learned something! Then I get home and try an applique piece, it came out well but I screwed up with the tear-away stuff, I did it backward or something - it didn't work, but the block came out cute without that step. LOL

Some of that applique Luna teaches you to cut away the back of the fabric and itnerfacing, i guess so the thickness will match everything else in the quilt, I haven't done that with any of the ones I've "flipped". Seems to me they would make it through washings better with the back on them but I guess if you were layering your applique, like a tree with many leaves or something, it would end up having to be cut away to make it lay flat. Move here and we'll take classes together in everything but pottery (you know I am a failure at that, lol!!)

I'm hoping to work on my blocks this weekend. It's fall break for the kids, so they'll be home Thurs. & Fri. this week, so I'll have to see how it goes, LOL!
