Officer (Leskin) Well I swear this is never ending post 306

Hey Holly... Sorry to see this is SO extremely difficult, it can be a real pain to move into a small town... And, well, your area of residence is a place where every one knows every one and so on

Whether your hubby grew up there or not, his family obviously did not push the "boundaries" of what the neighbors thought were, in their opinions, appropriate. It sounds like you should just move out here with me and Jay... We're in a conservation district and any farming, not that simply owning chickens as PETS is farming - it is totally different in fact, is viewed as wonderful by the "old timers". We first moved in, and people were "cold" towards us. They thought we were just more city slickers moving in. Then we brought the horses home, then the goats, the alpacas, the dogs and cats, the donkeys, the pot bellied pig, and now the chickens ... Need I say more? I do have room for Aflac if he needs a place to stay

Could what they are doing be considered harassment? If they don't have a leg to stand on, I don't understand any of this??

Hey 19hhbelgian

Great to hear from you sweetie.

YES this is harassment and I can have the lady next door charged. I've been trying to post everything ... but that is near imposable to do.
So many things are happening. But I almost have all the evidence I want on the neighbor to have her charged. I just want to make sure it is Iron clad.

As the the township officials, They will being investigated, to their behavior, and professionalism.
Normally I do keep to myself and make no waves, But not when I'm cornered and told conflicting laws.

At the moment I would love to move. That is not going to happen, I'm made of sterner stuff than that.

BTW Tom got a promotion at work with a significant pay increase. Now if we could actually get paid that would be even better. I hope Governor Rendal, Allows the state employees to be paid soon.

Trying to understand this is just banging your head against the wall.

Maybe I'll getup for a visit one day soon. Take care.

I finally got cited.....
Ok I think I'm the only person that would be happy about that ....lol

A couple things wrong with it though...
1) I was Requested ONCE to remove chickens.
2) I own one Duck

The next thing is the officer who wrote this never saw the animals in question, he is going on what the neighbor told him.

I believe that is called,Suspect information.???

Just waiting for the court date now!

And HOW can he even go by what the wacky neighbor says? Dosent he have to see them? Did you admit that you have them? Sorry this is happening to you!

If you are going to county court over this if he doesn't have a statute by court date, he is going to get dressed down by the judge. If it is a city hearing then anything goes. Take the ticket to the county clerk have them enter it in the system and ask for a court date.

I went through this once on a handicap parking ticket for my bike when I wasn't even parked in a handicap. I was parked in a no parking zone though. Parking in the striped lines is common with bikers. I confronted the sawed off officer sitting on my bike and demanded a state citation instead of a city summons. He refused and flat out admitted that a state citation would not hold up even though the fine was much higher. I went to the courthouse had it filed, and was given a court date. The whole matter was dropped with an apology from a member of the city council.

Quote:
I had to go to the court house to find out if he did cite me, They had not had time to put an amount on it. They will be mailing me a date to appear in court as I plead NOT GUILTY.
My husband said on the phone we had two small chicks in the house and a duck.
But the officer showed up an hour after talking to me husband, and the animals where not visible that day whatsoever.

Court dates are usually listed on the back with instructions. Sneaky they are hoping she will pay the $10 fine and then try to use that against her, as a admission of guilt. It is clear this officer is a buffooon, I feel sorry for the people in this town. A petition should be started to remove and a complaint filed with the State Bureau of Investigation.
