Beautiful mamas and babies - incubators just can't compete

I'll post tomorrow.ipad /BYC disagreements lol as far as pic uploading ...
But...I incubated and hatched one lonely sweet chick last week ,I thought to myself.

,well Marie my Maran is broody and laying on a few adopted eggs ...and one chick will be so lonely.. Alone....or time consuming to me...

So I sat down with Marie and ,with tiny ee/br chick in hand reached out to give her a love pet...and voila! The ole switcharoo....the look on her sweet face as she woke slowly from a broody coma

Something in her undercarriage was stirring.....they've been inseparable ever since .pics tomorrow. And dint get me started on the 3 duckling eggs under my sweet white silkie Pooby

Oh wow! Congrats. I have a broody that was on 20 eggs, surely she can't hatch that many!!

Speaking of silikies a friend of mine tells the story of his silkie who hatched 2 goose eggs. The goslings eventually would carry mama around as she tried to brood them and she was finally done with them after they found the pond and were ignoring her demands that they come back as she stood in the shallows.
