He is a Black OEGB crossed with a Bantam Cochin. So guess he would be considered an 'other'.

Poor Thing!View attachment 1571053 This is Little S**t. Yep, fill in the blanks, that is his legitimate name. He kept escaping, I kept catching him. Finally said, 'You Little S**t stay in your pen! and the name stuck. He started this molt in July and got a lot worse before he started looking better. I also affectionalty called him Coyote Ugly during his molt. The only pretty thing bout him was his personality, LOL

This is my entry for the "All other breeds" category.
Dovey's been noticeably molting for a little more than a week. Right now she looks like she's chosen a porcupine costume for Halloween. She had a few days where her pin feathers hadn't come in and she looked like someone had plucked a chicken for processing and changed their mind part way in. She spends her days sitting in the corner all puffed up like she's angry at the world.

That just looks painful.
I don't knowThat just looks painful.
How do they break open the pin feathers on their head? Rub them against something, or do they break open on their own at some point?
Love that her face isn't in these pictures. Like she's trying to hide she's so embarrassed. Not an entry since she's not a chicken but My turkey hen, Sweet Pea is in a sad state at the moment!
