Ended Official BYC Contest - Post Your Best (Worst) Chicken Molt Pictures - 2022

Pics
Fancy Nancy still thinks she has feathers, recently she jumped up really high, because she has strong legs, but she could not sail down to a gentle landing as most chickens do. I felt bad because she landed right on her big butt, on a board, and it was loud too.
That sounded painful. I hope she's ok!

Post Your Best (Worst) Chicken Molt Pictures - 2022
Are Your Chickens Molting?
We Want Your Pics!

It's that time of year again when our birds start their metamorphosis into... well, okay, they don't turn into anything, but it sure is interesting to see them go through their molting process and leaving feathers all over the place!
For more information on your flock's annual molt, see here:
How to enter
The contest is simple, post pictures of your birds in the worst part of their molt. Once we're past the molting season our esteemed panel of judges will pick a loser... er... winner!

  8. Molt pictures submitted to our previous molt contests are not eligible for this contest.

I’m not sure if I’m doing this right and I am sure my Roo Prince Charming is not amused just as he was not amused when I was chasing him to spray his featherless red bum with blue kote so his ladies fair would quit pecking it (literally hen pecked poor prince) unfortunately I did not think to take pics of that. So for your viewing here is Prince Charming ending his molt with new growth.
