I'm glad I checked out this link. I would have been terrified when mine molted for the first time. I had no idea they would look like this!

Well I know I can't compete with the other ones but I'm gonna post my gal's nakieness..... She's a black sex link/cochin cross and she's a little over 2 years old. This is her first hard molt ..... actually it's the first hard molt that I've seen in all my gals.... my daughter came in yesterday frantic...saying that she thought one of my chickens had mange and that I need to get her to a vet. lol. Well here are a few shots of her....she didn't want her pic taken at all. I wanted to get a pic of her flapping her wings but she wouldn't do it for the camera...she is completely bald under the wings area.

Last week it was her head area that looked pretty sad....lol...
