I don’t clip their wings for the same reasons.No reason for it. Mine either free range or stay in a fully enclosed run. And I’d rather that they be able to get away from predators when free ranging.
I’m certain it helps my chickens to get away in time from most predators. I know they survived dog attacks because they can fly a little. Only lost one small bantam to a buzzard in 6 years.
Don't clip wings. Have not had a problem with them flying where they don't belong so see no need to. Plus if something did get in the yard, Id want them to be able to get away as easily as possible. I have them food trained anyways so a couple tongue clicks and a handfull of, well it don't matter, if they think I got some goodies, they come running from the 4 corners of the earth

Same here! They always come for treats. Except if they have fled from some-kind of evil.
