I haven't had any complaints yet. We live in a quickly growing small town and others around us also own chickens. Since people are moving to our town in droves from bigger cities and other states(our 11,000 population jumped to 15,000 in almost two years), we have seen massive amounts of complaints on that NextDoor app from these cranky city people and out-of-staters about the noise from people's livestock. We are afraid it's going to get worse enough to make our city leaders to take action and ban our town from owning any livestock period soon. We just bought 2 acres in a very small (646 population) unincorporated town near our Texas/Oklahoma border. Everyone there owns farm animals and we are in better company than these cranky city karens. We have told no one else besides mom and sis where we're headed to so no one follows! Keepin it completely
rural! So tired of uppity city people telling us what to keep in our own property. When meat gets slim and eggs get more pricey, those same complainers will be knocking at the front door asking for help, guaranteed.
