I have 16 hens, one rooster and 11 baby chickies! It was fun seeing them hatch since the 7th and I hope the other eggs in the nesting boxes will hatch as well. I love baby chickens

Sadly, I've lost 9 chicks do to either it being too hot so they die, or a crazy hen wanting to get into the chickens boxes. Some have also passed because they had complications with their yolk sacs and umbilical cords. I'm still thankful for the 13 chicks I do have. if I end up selling most of them I plan to incubate some in the autumn when it's cooler.

I decided to open a licensed hatchery a couple months ago, which had been greatly needed here.

I average over 200 LF adults, juveniles, roosters, and weekly hatching chicks and offer 6 breeds, all colorations of Orps, and pure Ameraucanas except the red/buff. Since this is a chicken poll I won't mention the guineas and peafowl...lol.

Chicken nerds unite....YAY!!!
