Actually my favourite chickens are humble barnyard mixes each one is unique!

I just got started this year.. have on BR cockerel, 2 Black Sex Link Cockerels, 1 BSL pullet, and 4 BA/Silkie mix hens.. All but the BA/Silkie hens are friendly as can be.. BR cockerel sits in my lap for lovin'. Can't blame the hens, they were part of a large production crew and had little to no handling before I got them.. They are taming down nicely. 11 babies in the brooder.. Can't decide which ones I like the most out of Marans, Bielefelders. EE's. Three of the EE's look just like favorelles. They are allllllllllll so cute! Only time will tell.

I’m glad you put down Orpington instead of Buff Orpington! There’s so much more to the Orp than buff But most of the time people only talk about Buff Orpington as if that’s what the breed is...

I absolutely love my Orps! Best personalities ever. But I want my chickens cuddly, so I’m biased

I shouldn't like my Brahmas the best. They tick fewer boxes on the "meets my goals for chicken keeping" list. But,

I love my stately yard-dinosaurs with their wonderful feathered feet and prehistoric-looking heads.

Euskal Oiloas and I don't even have them. Second place is Ameraucana. Of the ones I actually have, Whiting True Blue, if that counts.
