guys & girls, I have a question -
since I have joined BYC I have been called cruel because my child is not going to believe in santa (despite me not intending to raise him to celebrate christmas), I've been called naiive and been laughed at for saying that some 19 year olds are mature enough to have marriages that work out (my mother got married to my father when she was 18... and they stayed together until his death parted them about 20 years later), and today I got accused of trying to speak for someone who I'd never even encountered on here (and even if I did know him, why would I anyway? as far as I can tell I have absolutely nothing to say to or about him, never mind FOR!)
what is it about me that brings that sort of behaviour out in people? Am I really that difficult? Is it cultural differences?

because lately there are about 2 threads that keep me coming back here, and this is one of them. I just want to thank you all for the acceptance.

As for your parenting ebwy..well, it's all up to you. You are not a horrible person for doing that. It isn't very common, but to each their own. I know in the UK Christmas is more secular than in the US, but again, each their own. As for the getting married thing, I was married 6 months after I turned 21. I met him when I was 19 and we moved in together within months. I was VERY young, but I will also be celebrating my 8th wedding anniversary in June. Marriage is work, sometimes hard work, but if you are meant for each other why wait? I have a poem around here about being Pagan and Christmas. I wasn't going to post it until it was cold again but what the hey...

On second thought, it is super long so I think I will not for now.
