Merry Meet. I would suggest that you take the belief-o-matic test at

It is a great tool for helping people find what religion most closely matches what they believe. You answer a series of questions based on your personal beliefs and it gives you a list of religions that align with your beliefs. Everyone I know has found it to be pretty accurate.
There are many good books out there...I love everything by Cunningham, Edain McCoy, Buckland, and Starhawk. I do NOT recommend Silver Ravenwolf's books...in my opionion they are only good for teenage posers.
I have been Wiccan for 10 years now, but grew up in a magickal family. I am involved in a great family of ecclectic covens in Southern Maryland with some wonderful people.
I am just starting to plan for raising chickens when we get moved into our new country home.
Blessings of light and love to all.

P.S. My kids and I have a very effective spell that we us often...we turn red lights, green. When we approach a red light we say "Red light, red light, don't be mean...Red light, red light, now turn green" It usually works the first time we say it, but has taken up to 3 times for some stubborn lights.
