must make..
Know instead of plain old grocery store bittersweet chocolate, find some high end chocolate stuff to make that with.
Hmmm makes me think of the movie Chocolate.... (I love that movie..)
Matthew, your story makes me want to get on my soap box and rant....
I am one of those very "angry" with the industrialized pig slop we call food in the USA. Just start to read labels, try and buy foods with out corn, soy or wheat extracts (or what ever you call the components they break the stuff down to before reassembling it into something we are trained to call food.)
Yes the USA has cheap convient food, but we are the fattest nation on earth, also have the highest health care costs, and not spectacular life spans.
Most importantly our so called food, dulls ones senses both physically and mentally. It causes sickness, depression and lowers ones overall quality of life!
My personal "brand of spirituality" has a strong earth based component. I am realizing my physical body is simply part of this earth, so treating it well, listening to it and respecting it only makes sense.
For me this approach to making difficult life style changes works, because it pays dividends in an increased sense of internal peace, increased awareness and increased physical energy....I am by no means where I personally what to be yet but the path clearly leads to continued life style changes......I am begining to see food as only fuel for the body and mind. Ideally many of those foods are organic, whole and natural. Gathered, harvested or grown by me.
