Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

I'm betting it was a Tractor Supply employee in early for his shift, grabbed the flyer off the board and didn't think about the time. Scared me since I have a 92 yr old father and "the call" could come any time.
I bet it was my mom, who calls before 7 am a LOT. She can't sleep so she thinks is it waaaaaaaaaaaaay later than it is and starts making phone calls around 7 am....THEN gets frustrated when she just gets voice mails and recordings telling her "normal hours of operation". LOL I am planning to get her a LARGE clock for Christmas. And hang it over her phone.

I would still never call anyone that early! That's just plain rude. I would never even call a friend or relative prior to 9am. Unless I'm told to call earlier...

Yes, even if I am up and at 'em at 4:30, most people wake up at around that time, or 7 or so... My Mom is up at 6:30, but she normally doesn't start making phone calls til about 8.

I know that some people believe that chicken keepers are always up before dawn, but my chickens get out when I'm good and ready to let them out. They don't dictate my schedule to that degree.

It's not that we aren't up sometimes by 7 a.m., however, we are retired, no schedule we must keep, so that day, we were sound asleep. Threw my whole day off. I've always been told it's rude to call prior to 9 a.m. unless someone is expecting my call. Just because they're up doesn't mean they want to start talking to people that early.

I agree. I once had a friend who would call me about 7am to chat. I was up at that time, but I had to get my children ready for school. This lady had no children or spouse, so she'd want to talk all morning. I finally had to ignore the phone when she called.

I for one have kids out of state and a call that early would freak me out. Plus I'm not "up" until after I had a cup of coffee. Even when I am out of bed. And if I am up before dark no chickens are getting let out until the sun is up. I hear them crowing at 4 am.

I tell them don't call past 9 pm. I'm sometimes in bed that early.

I do not telephone anyone after 9 pm. I don't like calls before nine in the morning either. I used to have a friend that frequently called me very early in the morning. I am not, nor have I ever been, a morning person. My requests that she call later fell on deaf ears. She was up and awake before six am and she figured the rest of the world was, too. I finally cured her. I started calling her after 10 at night. She didn't appreciate that one bit. She finally got the message though and started calling me later in the day.

Even if I am up the rest of the house is not. My DD complained I was making to much noise unloading the dish washer.

In all fairness it was 5:30. AM They don't get up til 9 and then it's "oh I have to take a shower before I can go". By the time they get ready on Saturday, the farmers market is nearly closed and every thing else will be by the time they get ready.

Sometimes I can't sleep so I just get up and start my day, but I have no one I'd call at that time.
