Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

Oh indeed. And saying amarecauna's (I think I got that right? I can never remeber how it's really spelled ) aren't a pure breed  makes you wonder where they got their knowledge :idunno

Maybe they mixed up EE with the pure breed blue laying chicken (Ameraucanas).

See, now we're all confused...here's what I've had drummed into my head since being here... Auracanas (I probably spelled it wrong too lol) are the ones with the muffs that lay the blue eggs. Anericaunas are a cross between aracaunas and something else I can't remember at the moment... EEs are supposedly "mutts" of the same breeding as americaunas... Oh I get confused really easy on that.

Especially when they throw in a Robin nest and I end up with GREEN eggs :p

When did a WCB Polish prices go up?!?!?!

And the only white breed they list is Bresse, but the white bird in their pics isn't a Bresse... and why wouldn't you post pics of your top dollar birds????

Lol that's the one that specifically caught my eye too...dashed my dreams of the top hat black and white polish that I could get for 5 bucks from my neighbors granddaughter at the fair :p

False. Prior to the 1970s, all blue/green layers were called Araucana. Once the Araucana breed gained recognition, only those that are rumpless, yellow skinned, and tufted qualify for the name Araucana. The Ameraucana also gained APA recognition in the 1970s, and only those that are tailed, muffed, white skinned, and conform to specific standards for coloring can be called Ameraucana.
That left a large portion of what used to be Araucana that didn't meet either breed standard. Those birds are what are commonly known as Easter Eggers now.

Those look like professional pictures. I would bet they copied them from somewhere and are not the chickens they are selling. And those prices are for straight run chicks?
