Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

I decided perhaps I should give her a second chance and now I wish I hadn't, watch this next video and you realize that if you buy a piece of property with a loan from the bank they sell property they don't own! don't believe me watch it!!!!!!!!!!!

Stumped for a reply to this.

Isn't owner financing real though? I haven't watched the video yet and not sure I want to. There's a few other in the series though and I am curious what she says lol

I feel bad because she seems like a nice enough lady and I'm glad she appears to be doing well for herself but she is just SO misinformed. Not entirely her fault because a lot of this information is so prominent and widespread and most people really believe it but a quick search on BYC or a book would disprove it...

And DE is constantly touted as some miracle thing.

She has some points though like chickens do need grit and they do like privacy (though obviously it's not a requirement) and I'm of the opinion that they should have both sun and shade but they certainly won't die or anything lol

But she's so misinformed for so much else and SO many people subscribe to her.

ALSO.

Often even the books are wrong eith newer research. :/

For instance, everyone always says chicks have to be at 95 with a heat lamp the first week and lower 5 degrees every week or they will die when really I find the heating pad method (MHP/Mama Heating Pad) wayyyy better. And most sources DO recommend NEVER combining chicks younger than 8 weeks old when really if you brood in the coop and/or do look but don't touch or have a broody hen they can be fully integrated by 4 weeks or even younger. But the key is also when you introduce them to have areas where the bigger birds can not get to. If they don't have that then yeah, they might die, but if they do then they're fine. I've also seen people say you can never introduce adult roosters or maybe any adults together because they will kill each other and die. But when introduced properly I think they can work out a pecking order. Except maybe roosters? But raised together they are fine.

Also most feed bags recommend to start feeding layer at like 16 or 18 weeks when really it should be when you get the first egg, which can be MUCH later. And calcium can be bad for birds not laying and roosters and hurt kidney so flock raiser or something should be fed like in winter when they aren't laying or even yearround with oyster shell.

So my point is yeah she's wrong but so is about every book out there. :/

I learned all this from BYC.

And most still won't care and will go oh well MY rooster never had any problems. But I do care.

I do feel really bad for all her other animals though because if she's this misinformed about chickens, how much other misinformation is she listening to?? And she has KIDS!? OI VEY. Poor kids. :lau

Of course, think of the time you'd save. And then you too will have time to bleach your hair and make "informative" videos!
Will that (the Youtube videos I make) make me a famous expert chicken keeper?
Yes?
OK great! I am so excited.
I am charging my video camera now.

That's my point SHE IS VERY MISINFORMED. Yes owner financing is real my parents bought property using a bank and sold via owner financing, but she acts like you cannot negotiate anything when you buy thru a real estate agent and the only way you can is thru for sale by owner property, which is simply not the truth. Also she acts like you are stuck with only one length of loan and one interest rate and you can't find something different elsewhere. Also if sold thru a Realtor you can sell owner financed also if it is sold without a realtor you don't need to sell by owner financing. The same is true about buying a used car no dealership or bank is required, but it all has to do with what you want and how you want it done.

That makes sense. In that case, how ridiculous can she be?
