CL does have it's downfalls ~ however it is very useful to me. I don't eat my roosters and I sold or gave away 15 last summer, and hope to do the same this summer after the chicks I am hatching grow out.

Same here. I sell or give away chickens/roosters on CL all the time and I generally spell my ads correctly and know what breeds I am selling. And the people who come to get them so far have been completely normal (at least as far as I can tell). Where else can you advertise for free and have calls within the hour?

haha Not me I have to liver in such a desolate area it doesnt get seen much or people arent around my parts much?

Well, I'm pretty turned off by CL for now. Posted a WTB ad for ganders in farm and garden, and it continuously got flagged/removed. When I asked why, the answer is that I'm not selling anything, the wanted ads go in the "Items Wanted" section. Didn't know a live animal was an "item".

Another new breed of ducks?

We have a pair of Ruin ducks for sale. The male is approx. 2 years old, the female is 1 year old. She lays eggs on a regular basis.
If you have any questions, just ask.

Just got a response to my CL ad for someone who wants to buy my young roo, but they have no other chickens? Hmm. Why would you want a 12 week old rooster but you don't have any other chickens? He's much too young to eat.. Even if he'll be dinner, I'd prefer he not be a solo chicken until he's old enough...

Maybe.. Haven't heard about that around here, but in either case, this roo would not be into that - he's only 12 weeks old and hasn't even realized he's a boy yet.

You're from NY, right? I've seen on animal planet where there are roo fights in NYC.
