Oh, Lordy! Ice storm coming!

I have not got to watch weather being my 1 month grandbaby in hospital and keeping the 2 yr old so ....are we here in North Ga in store for an Ice storm?.....I need to get prepared if so....I about cant deal with anything else

I'm in SE Kansas and we a border line with the storm. We were without power for a couple of hours last night. Lucky us, we have a generator to hook directly into our breaker box and still have power for some things. I had bread rising and could not use the stove but could plug in my roaster oven and it did fine. First time (day 2) using the incubator and DD was having a panic attack till DH got the generator going. My it is amazing what these chickens can do to you let alone EGGS!! Good luck to everyone south and east of me.

it is 67 here now in Ga...feels good outside but the rain is comming and it suppose to be 29 tommorow night....so might be comming our way too

It's just pouring rain and windy here, temps in the upper 40's to 50 right now.

Well, we just ended up with about an inch of sleet, topped with about 2 inches of snow. Didn't stick like freezing rain would have. I think things are terrible, and lots of electricity out, etc, south of here. Am hoping and praying things will get fixed up quickly. But the ice storm we had here 2 years ago, and no electricity for 9 days, makes me know you are in a mess down there. Good Luck, and we are praying for you. Hope you can find heat, have food on hand, and that you are in a position to take care of your chickens and other animals. You will probably not see this till your electricity is back on.

Well, the temp has dropped ten degrees and still raining.
