When I first read this, I thought you meant she could put her husband on craigslist.

LOL... So many funny replies!
Sorry I didn't get to this sooner, but I have had a busy day.

See, my husband holds things while I do the building. He can't run a saw and a drill can be a bit to much as well.
I finished my Cochin Condo (it's on my BYC page), except exterior painting. So, I put my MF and BC Cochins in there. That opened a 2x3 cage and my 8 panel dog play pen. After getting things rearranged, this is what they are in now:

I put the one side of the larger of my two caged down and butted it up to the opening of the 8 panel pen. I put a tarp on both cages. The "house" cage is totally covered from the elements and the 8 panel is more open facing south. I put chicken wire all the way around the 8 panel pen so my girls can't put their heads in the pen. They are still way to close to my girls and I am not thrilled with that, but at least they can't touch each other.

Here's three of them foraging! I swear they've never seen grass before. They are pretty friendly and was pacing the cage waiting for us this morning. One gave me an egg today, too!
I'll get better pictures of them tomorrow. I was so busy, I didn't even get to look them over like I wanted to. The one girl has chalky residue on her comb and that other one still has something wrong with her wing. The feathers are messed up and it doesn't lay quite right, but she uses it. They look free of scaly leg mites and lice, but again, I didn't get to pick them up and look really good. I just checked for egg sacs.

As for hubby, he knows the MF bantam Cochins (Mottled and BC, too), Orps (Blue, Black, Buff, Lavender), Ameraucanas (Wheaten and maybe Black and Lavender later on) are my main focus. But, I am not selling my others because they are my egg producers. I am assuming he prefers the eating eggs than the breeding eggs. He doesn't really have a soft spot for animals like I do, but considering their situation and my love of them, yeah, he was trying to be sweet. I just wish he was more of a carpenter. At least he helps me take care of them.

His help is worth me forgiving him this round (as long as they are healthy) and as long as he never does it again.

Well at least he did not bring home an ostrich or emu and say but baby they were left homeless cuz of the fires and need a home. Needless to say those birds will eat you out of house and home.

I like what Nini and Ole Rooster wrote

Having said that, you did good for them - and I kinda think they might know that, giving you an egg and all. They're friendly - lucky on that - I really hope it all works out -

Do you use Novalsan to spray where your birds are enclosed ? It is a great dis-infectant and one can even put a little in the drinking water to kill off bad bacteria . There are
several out there but studies have shown Novalsan to be the best . You need at least a 2 gallon pump sprayer . Kills all sorts of microbes .

Also do you put 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in your water , keeps their guts slightly more acidic and very beneficial . I do it at least
3 times a week .

They gave me another egg today!
Live presents are fantastic if I have room for them. I really need two more coops at the moment and no time/money to build more. My "operation" (and I use that term in the most cynical way possible) is growing faster than my bank account. And my carpentry skills are something to be desired.

@GLBRWyans - I use Oxine AH in the water now (and can be used to disinfect - but I just got it and haven't used it to it's full benefit yet) and have never used ACV. The only place around here with the organic ACV sells it for $18 a gallon. That's outrageous.
