Oh, My Husband...

Quote:
I have room for them, just no place to properly quarantine them. The hen shed (for the eating egg producers) is housing about 30 birds and it can handle 66, with the 4sq. ft. per bird rule. But yeah, you got the rest of it right on!
He won't let me sell them off... Plus, I know they are birds, but it's kind of unfair to them just because they are the wrong breed and came from an auction. I'll keep them quarantined and if they pull through the 4wks and seem healthy, I'll keep them. I did sell my RSLs, but I am short on egg layers since I've actually sold about 40 birds. But he owes me... Six chocolate bantam Orps, to be exact. Yep... $600 in birds for $5 in birds. Sounds fair to me! LOL, j/k... Or am I?

We've been married for almost 8yrs. So days I wonder what the heck I was thinking. He's almost exactly like my ex-husband. Except he doesn't cheat, he has/keeps a job, does house work, has a car and a driver's license. He isn't to bad, but yeah, he didn't think before bringing these girls home. And he does know about bio-security. We have been to two swaps and bought from another person once. I quarantine and have cages all over for a month after - he knows the deal. He just conveniently 'forgot'.

Oh heck, twas just a wee slip of the memory.

I know it sounds awful, but in the case with my husband, I am learning that when it comes to thinking, they hardly ever bother to do it.

My wife says that about me too

You see ladies guys are wired a bit different. We have 2 points to think on "A" to "B" thats it we have no deeper thought process. Now being married for almost 30 years in January 2012 my wifes brain is "A" to "M" to "D" then to "G" and on to "Y" before I made it to "B". We are a bit slow you see!!

so what can I say other than

What can I say Hubbies stay in A amd B mode only, Lets reveiw here we have the bigger brain, thus we think in a complex fashion even us Blondes.

Oh come on we are all eager to share our knowledge. At least I finally got my DH to quit with blonde jokes. I used just these statements, so you like blonde jokes, yip he said okay so aren't you a blonde as well? Yip, Okay and you also have a smaller brain, so let me ponder male Blonde jokes. He said nothing and walked away.

I am SO sorry, but this is the oldest man trick in the book, "But honey, I just can't do it as well as you do." Also, "Show me one more time, honey, how you do that so well?"

You need to drop your quality standards and let him learn to use those tools and build!

I would offer to come and train your man myself, but my own husband ran off several years ago, so I am not sure I am really competant.

Mwhahaha! Please, come teach him something! I won't hold you responsible if he goes missing, I swear!

The first time I handed him a circular saw he looked at me with a scared "what should I do" look and he told me he doesn't know how to run one. Well, now I have a table saw, miter saw, scroll saw, jig saw, a recip saw, two circular saws and two routers. He can't use any of them. On that topic, he can't run a mower, either. In the last 9yrs+ I've been with him, he finally mowed for the first time this year - he mowed half of my side yard and I had to go finish it. He almost flipped my snowmobile on an 18" bump. He's not very... Smart? Must not be, he's still with me and puts up with my BS. I'm not as bad as OC's wife, though - no offense.
