OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Hey all. I have nine week and a half old chicks. They are new hampshirere and golden buff mix. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for the pic, they look like nice birds, do you have any adults to get a good idea what their gonna look like, or was it accidental?, lol
the new hampshire and the golden buff hens are almost identical. The only real differen e is in the rooster coloring. I have no adults. I can take a pic of a chic that is almost two months old. I will load it later.

Hi all, I have a question about coops. I am new to raising chickens. Hubby is building me a coop. I saw one at Kroger in Sunbury that I really like and that is what he is building. It has wood sides and metal roof. Hubby wants to put aluminum sides??? and insulation??? He's the type you can't tell him what to do, but I am worried that might make it too hot for the chickens. Will be nice maybe for winter. Also will have bunnies in part of it. Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jane

That is all fine as long as you have plenty of ventilation. They need a lot of fresh air. I even keep my vents open in the winter.

Thank you. There is suppose to be two windows besides the doors. I will see if he has some vents. Trying to build with what is here and what a friend has. Only going to have 4 chickens to start. But, I want the coop to look more like a playhouse. I'm not crazy about the aluminum sides!!! I want wood siding.

Only been waiting for him to do this since Easter!!!! My chickens aren't going to be chicks by the time I get them!!!! (A friend is giving them to me).
