OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Thanks for the pic, they look like nice birds, do you have any adults to get a good idea what their gonna look like, or was it accidental?, lol
Hey
It is dark now and I forgot to take a pic of the older chick. If you google golden buff and new hampshire red that is the combo that they will look like. They are average large birds and I get an egg a day from each hen. Even thru winter since I dont use heat. If you still want I can take a pic of a hen and rooster tomorrow.

That will work, thanks

Hi all in Central Ohio! I have a friend who has recently lost some of her chicks due to a very bad dog. The dog has now been relocated and they are looking to add more chickens (6 - 12) and a rooster to their flock. The ones they have now are about 2 months old and they would like to find some that are near that age, but don't want to have to start over with the heat lamp and brooder etc. They also have 3 young children who will be helping with the care of the birds so they are looking for chicks that are already somewhat people friendly. Does anyone in the area have any they are willing to part with?

Hello Mettermom,
I too am in Medina and just getting started.
I have ten 1-week old chicks at home right now and a head full of coop plans.
It's going to be a very interesting summer.

Hello! We are in little Liberty Center, Ohio.... about 45 minutes south west of Toledo. I grew up on a farm & craved being back out in the country. Liberty Center was the perfect place! We are 'in town'... but feel like we are in the country. We have 14 chickens and eventually we want Buckeyes ! Can't wait to get some - they look so pretty in the pictures !
