OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

as for now, I am being a greedy owner and hanging onto all of them till I see what I end up with. I'll definitely be hatching and selling next year!
The SFH are a few days shy of 2 months now and the polish are 1.5months old. I'm raising all of these guys until they get some size and age to them and then this fall, probably late fall, I will decide what's staying and whats going.

Are they friendly? I have been wanting some but I'm trying to behave. So hard with all these great hatching eggs I keep finding. I almost have my next batch picked out. Well I have to cut the list down. I can only fit about 27 in the incubator.

i think the name was minihorse - welcome to the thread. if i missed answering a question im sorry. got a lot of PM's all of a sudden.

Thanks for the welcome!
Would you be willing to sell one polish hen? My husband likes how it looks, been looking for one close to us (just in mount Orab) you have a few on my want list too :) I just wish I wasn't put in a limit haha

Right now I'm guessing I have a roo and three pullets with the polish but for now I'm holding off until I see what I ended up with. Plus I had a small cocci episode here and I'm still dealing with getting one bantam EE and the Mille fluer Cochin chick over it fully.

Do you ever go to the Brown County fair? I go every year and show horses and typically people who watch the shows know who I am.

If anyone is needing a BLRW roo in the next 4-5months I have 4-5 of them. Only 2-3 pullets hatched and I already know I'm going to have to many Roos!

for as much as I handle them once they go outside they are friendly! I rarely handle the grow out pen. Usually only to see if I can tell if I have Roos or pullets or to see if something is wrong. As soon as my phone gets some charge on it I'm going to go get a couple pictures of the SFH and polish. The polish are very friendly for never being handled. I've got 5-6more SFH in the brooder inside the house but they are just a couple weeks old.

I must say I love my new incubator. I woke up to 6 little fluffy butts hanging out in there.one CCL chick is zipping too. Haha DH didn't expect so many little chicks and grips about it but was checking last night to see if more were hatching.;) I'm so excited. Thank you loveourbirds for the encouragement to do it again after two failed attempts. I now have my chocolate orps for my project and my cream legbars are on their way:D

Ill post pics once I get on my regular computer. I can't from my tablet for some reason. ;)

I posted this and this and then checked on them. One more had its yolk sac still attached so we had to take it into the bathroom again. Since we had to open it anyway we took all 6 babies out. The 7th one has pipped and started to zip and the ccl is taking a break. :) so possibly 7 out of 7 I put in lockdown. :)

I am concerned about one of my black Aust. The past few days she has seemed really tired. Today i noticed she wasn't eating. So I put her in a different cage. She sleeps standing up and almost fell. My husband don't get home until 5, which he is our medicine guy. She is about 20-22 weeks old. Anyone have any suggestions what could be wrong or what I could do?

I've got some doing the same thing but they are a little younger. I'm treating with sulfadimethoxine and they are coming around. I've also been keeping a heat lamp over part of their cage and they stand right under it. I'm thinking they are battling cocci and the corid didn't help these two much.

Does yours have it's feathers fluffed up and stand kinda hunched with its head drawn into it's body?
