OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I love the idea of a swap! Definitely September or later. It's nearly a five hour drive for me with three kids plus chickens cooler weather would be a plus.

September should be great here. Hopefully by then I'll have gals and guys sorted and be able to bring something (albeit nothing spiffy and sq). And Brian, because I know you'll hang around here when you can lol, I might have to take you up on that offer. Your driving can't be any worse than mine lolol. If I were sure I'd leave empty-handed I could probably talk dh into a day-trip to Cincy, but of course I'd never be able to leave empty-handed. :}

if he questions us riding together, remind him im married and don't do will with British accents

September sounds great to me too.

there are a few I still want. I guess I am chicken obsessed. at the same time, this is obsession is getting expensive. for us to add a new breed or color costs about $75 in cage costs. then the cost of a breeding trio or 2 pairs- that makes $150 in pens. the feed bill is a little over $450 a month, electric for house and barn is $275 a month - before chickens, running the A/C we were always under $100 this time of year. if I hatch 200 a week and sell them at $1 each, I just barely pay the chicken bills. - "for the love of chicken" farms - a non profit organization LOL.

don't get me wrong I love what I do, I just need to make it support itself a little better. I could sell the chicks easy for market value, but I want to help everyone get them, and have the same enjoyment I have raising them.
