Here is dad to the chicks.

He's gorgeous! And his offspring are pretty darn cute. :) What is he? Game? Dorking? Something else entirely lol?

It's in! I'll candle it in a few days with my high power Candler and see how it looks! I'm excited, but afraid I'll be disappointed. I've never seen him mount her but he does crow his little heart out.

Also I've talked to the BF and he's ready to build 5 of my breeding pens before winter! In total I need 15-20 pens but I'll take what I can get cause this is his first time taking interest in the chickens!

Im not sure he was givin to us about 3 months ago. Any ideas on what he mite be?

My first thought was Dorking because of the short legs, but the colors look a little off and I've never seen or heard of one with such a luscious tail lol. Is he LF or bantam? Could also have some Japanese or Serama in there if he's a bantam? I'm not sure what other breeds carry the creeper gene. Whatever he is, he's beautiful. :)

Oh nice! Lucky! lol. Send him down here when he's done there. :gig
Hoping for you the silkies are just modest and there is a peep in there. If so, I may have to buy some of her eggs from you someday. :}

Oh, anyone ever had a 6 week old cockerel crow? I have and it's HILARIOUS! I've never had one crow that young. Heck, he still peeps. No real chicken noises other than the sad attempt at crowing. If he does it again I'm going to take video of it. He's so proud of himself. It's the CCL cockerel I hatched here.
