well I believe the pullet laying these is the last daughter of one of my favorite hens I had. I think the neighbors dog got her the other day cause they were free ranging in the yard and we had to run the neighbors dog off. I'm hoping she just ran off like before. The last time this happened she disappeared for 3 or 4 days and returned covered in something black completely unharmed. This neighbor has lost one dog already to us because of past incidents. The dog warden got sick of being called and told us to dispose of the dog or he would. They were doing so good keeping them locked up until last week.

what did the baby chicks ever grow to look like? I kept 1 from that batch. It was a rooster.

If I remember right they were all light colored. I gave the rooster away to some friends last summer. He was always fighting my large maran rooster, the one I got from loveourbirds. He put the marans eye out, so I rehomed him. He looked a lot like the pic of roo above. Like I said earlier, the one hen is pure white and the other hen is a blueish gray. They are such nice birds. The ones I get from murray mcmurray are darker browns. But I am still getting pretty eggs! I don't know which hen lays which color, but they range in color from light blue to med blue with one that is a light olive green. If I could send pics to you I would. Maybe when I get a laptop I'll send you a pic.
