Just west of Toledo, and am hoping there is someone nearby who would like a rooster or two. We have three and they have started seriously fighting, even drawing blood today. We need to give them away to a good home!

I'm in the middle of moving to Cambridge...if weather ever cooperates.
I didn't read your intro carefully enough, thought you had just moved to Ohio from Arkansas but its vice versa. We have a very small backyard flock of five 11 month old pullets one each of: Black Copper Marans, Buff Orpington, Silver Grey Dorking, Easter Egger and Golden Buff (Red Star/Golden Comet). We are picking up three new chicks tomorrow a Welsummer, Light Brahma and White Rock!Hi!! To be honest, I had no idea there were "Buckeye" chickens. I just went and looked them up and read about them. They are quite pretty, I love brown eggs, so, I will definitely consider them for my pens. We haven't yet discussed the varieties we are planning to get but I know I can get what ever ones I want....so, I will get some, if I can find some. I hope to not have to start with chicks. I'd like to get some just a bit younger than layers. I'm looking forward to a break in the weather so hubby and I can get planning. What kind do you have?
Actually, I consider myself a "Ohio" girl and always will! I grew up there and left at 18 to join the USAF. Met my hubby there, he's from PA, we've lived all over the Eastern half of US (once we were out of the AF), went back to Ohio & raised our kids, then off again...finally put roots down here in AR (but Ohio is basically Home). I'll always be a Buckeye! I got more into chickens here in AR than anywhere. I started with Black SexLink, Buff Orpington's, Barred-Rock and B.R. mixed with Marans, Rhode Island Reds, Silkies, Polish (cool!), a Bantam Roo...had some awesome eggs from these birds! They were great. Kinda like what you are doing with your assortment! Found I love the Orpington's....actually, loved them all, but the Orp's were at the top of my list. Now, I'm presently just checking into all I can find out about Dwarf Nigerian Goats...tooo cute!! So, that's where I am, I don't know what I'm doing. If it weren't for my hubby, I would have a BIG BARNYARD!!! Don't get me wrong...he's loved everything I've started and he won't say know.....oh...if it were pigs, cows n such...nah....he's not into that in a barnyard. So, I'm working on it little by little! Hope you are doing great with your flock and hope to see pics sometime! I would love that.I didn't read your intro carefully enough, thought you had just moved to Ohio from Arkansas but its vice versa.
