OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Ok dumb question. I just hatched some OliveEgger chickens. They are just over a week old. I have noticed that some of the chicks have tail feathers and some don't. Any significance?

Hello All! I am MUCH further north of everyone! In the Toledo area right up on the Ohio/Michigan border. I am a Silkie/Showgirl (bearded of course) addict but finding it quite challenging to find quality breeders (or any breeders at all) around here. Hate to have. "Egglets" shipped but that's what I've been doing. Fingers crossed for a good hatch this time around! =) Nice to meet you all!

Thanks, I would like that! Call me some evening when you're free ranging your girls and I'll pop over. For some reason I have in my head that you have Lavendar Ameraucanas. Is that right? I think we lucked out and got a few of our own from Tractor Supply stock tho they may be blue. Hard to tell. I was hoping to compare.

We put our 3rd coop in place today! Debating about putting our feathered out Marans and Ameraucanas out there tonight. The old girls are moving onto the livestock rescue tonight. My yard will look empty!

We will be out tomorrow night. I am out almost every night from 6 to dark.
I have 6 Lavender Ameraucanas under my broody, just put them there yesterday, so it will be a few weeks before we can compare.
He threw in 3 Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons. I am so excited.

Hatched 8 Olive Eggers a little over a week ago, hence the need for more coop space.

Welcome! I'm in South Toledo right at the Maumee line. I haven't ventured into Silkie territory yet. Have 9 assorted hens in coop #1, 6 assorted 4 week olds waiting for coop #2 to be finished and 30 eggs in lockdown, hoping to hatch tomorrow. Good luck with your hatch!

In T town myself... Nice to see more locals showing up... Welcome
