OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Woot. Randomly stumbled across this thread (BYC is just like google or YouTube, I swear..never know where you'll end up!), didn't know there was a thread for Ohio-folk. :D I'm actually a transplant. Raised in South Shore (ironically, north shore), KY which is literally on the river. I was in OH more than KY anyways. Last fall, DH, kiddo and I got the chance to move onto my grandparents farmland here in OH, just 40 minutes away from "my ole KY home". So now we're living in Lucasville (although we tell folks Minford since we're closer to it than actual Lucasville..). You've probably never heard of it unless you live here or have attended "Swap Days". I'm so happy to be here. We lived in city limits before and couldn't have as much as a chicken. We've only been here 9 months and we've already had/have 4 horses, a pig, a goat, and OODLES of chickens and ducks. :D Always been a country gal at heart.
Howdy folks! :3

Welcome from liberty township Ohio. :)

Well 2 more days and I leave my dad in charge of my fluffy butts for the weekend. My poor NN won't be as spoiled as it is now. No hand feeds and getting out to play and cuddle. Lol it takes 2 people to watch my house, my dad and my brother. My dad is strictly for my chickens and my brother is for the rest of my animals. Poor DH is over run. Lol I'm not even close to being done with chicks and he already told me I could get Pygmy goats.

Then I must have devious chicks...or they didn't care for the floral pattern.  They worked at the loose edges until they were able to peel it off and then throw it to one side, chuckling all the while.

Lol. Sounds like something mine would do.

Hi all. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can convince my neighbor to secure his ragtag flock of marauding chickens? His hens run the neighborhood leaving scat on my and my other neighbors porches as well as wreak havoc on flower beds and gardens. My girls are in a secure pen but go nuts trying to get to his huge Jersey white rooster. I've had to move feed troughs from plundering poultry & receive many calls from angry neighbors of loose chickens assuming they are my girls. I've tried to reason with said neighbor but unfortunately he thinks free range means free to roam the neighborhood. I feel sorry for the hens he has lost to dogs and hit and run over by cars. Any suggestions? Thanks for letting me rant.
