OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Just for reference. If you guys figure to go a swap like The Dayton Fancy Feather Club swaps at Eaton, most sellers are set up by dawn, and the quality stuff, and best prices get's picked over pretty quick.

Shew. DH is already complaining about my going. Since he works until the wee hours of the morning, there's no way we'd make it there anywhere close to dawn. 9-10 here also at the earliest.

Any time is good, I personally am early riser =)

If anyone wants to come out early they are more then welcomed, later is fine too.

Looking forward to putting faces with names

I wasn't suggesting you guys should start yours so early, more of a heads up kind of thing for novices on how some swaps tend to operate.

More than a few times I've seen people come strolling in to a swap late morning saying" Shoot, I was hoping to find some (insert breed here)". When there actually had been some rather nice ones there, 4 hours earlier.

Same deal with sale birds at shows, early bird gets the worm, as it were.

I'm still trying to figure out how to run a swap, so any ideas would be awesome. So far I know to start it early...any other tips from the wise ones??

VERY EXCITED to see some peeps!

I live in Xenia Ohio and I have 6 Delaware Chickens (1 Roo, 5 Hens) that were born on March 2nd, 2013. They just started laying one week ago. Right now we are getting about 4-5 eggs per day. The problem is that now they want to migrate into my neighbors yard and my yard is just too big to fence in. We are looking into Re-homing them for that reason. I would like the chickens and their coop to stay together, but would also think about separating the two if it works out best that way. Is there any local chicken lovers who would like a young beautiful flock of 6 Delaware's? Only $250. The coop, which was more than that, was built for us about 4 months ago.

Thanks,

If you do separate the coop and the Delawares, how much would you sell the coop for?
