OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Ok I have a question. I have two ameracauna probably Easter eggers that will not get off of the roosts. I hand feed them goodies when I take them out, I put a small bowl of feed on the board by the roosts occasionally, I don't know if they are getting water. I thought they quit going out because of the roosters, I no longer have them, but a polish roo. What can I do to get them off of the roost? They are not laying yet (I got them in April) and I am wondering if it is because they are not eating properly, not getting exercise, etc. thanks for any help or suggestions. Jane

im not sure this is the best advice, but i would push them out and close the coop door. the polish rooster may be overactive and keeping them on the roost too, so watch him.

Thanks Brian. I have tried letting all the others free range and they still did not get off. They are aggressive somewhat to the other hens that get beside them on the roost. It's a nice day today, I will try to get them out and the roo in. Every other time I have pushed them out they fly right back in. Worst part is, water and feed is in the coop. This roo was at the bottom of the pecking order til I got rid of the other Roos so I don't think he is real aggressive towards the girls, but maybe sice he is the only one now. What I see more is the RIR hens being more aggressive towards the others. Thanks again. Jane

This is going to be a long pic heavy post. Sorry. But I really need your help! I am stumped by these two chickens. One a 15 week old EE and the second a 16 week old barnevelder..thanks for your help.are they male or female?

chickawawa thank you! I would love any help with finding blues for spring!! well I have to research molting, talk to everyone later!
Found it! Got a business card from him at the Troy Swap Meet in April. Breeds for show but my cousin's Blues have turned out to be really good layers which isn't always the case. Anyway the info is:

M & B Farms
Jerry Nowicki
Wapakoneta, OH 45895
567.356.0355

He is also on the board (if I remember correctly) of the West Central Ohio Poultry Club. (www.wcopc.com) that is based in Wapak. I joined last year but no one ever contacted me after I tried several times to connect and just eventually wrote off my dues as a lesson learned and got what I needed from this forum. There is a show in mid-March that is worth going to if you are looking for new stock around that time. I'll probably go again this coming year.

I agree, Rnbwbrite, from that angle they both look pulletish to me, but side pics might help. Can't see the hackle area on the EE.
