we have neighbors who bring there kids over to feed them all the time. They always say why go to youngs dairy and pay to feed animals when we can feed mikes for free lol

mrdazed85 thank you for offer of hanging with your goats, lol! I have four posts left over from run build, hubby offered to his friend, um no!!! Why not he asks?? Goat expansion next year dear!!Eye roll he gives me. Well I have told him repeatedly!! Goats n Blue Jersey Giants next year!! Geez.

My goats get tied out. No such thing as goat proof fence...lol

That's part of my plan as well. Tying them out but returning them to fence at night, fox n coyote are bad here. I only want two fixed male pygmy goats since I am barely 5'2" now, darn disk disease.Fence is 1"x2" spaced welded wire 6.5' high with more over the top of it, the two stumps next to it will be good playground starter for goats.

Don't plan on them staying in fence at night either unless it has a top over it. Better to shut them in a shed over night. My friend had a little pygmy billy climb clear over the stall walls in her barn (over 7 ft high) & kill her nigerian dwarf doe trying to breed her. She ended up giving him a shed all to himself...goaty jail!

Fence does have a top as well many hawks n a pair of eagles seen now n then. I still in planning stage for goats n BJG.
On the current front, tried to let Cochin and Brahmas meet my one year olds, sadly the younger ones ran inside to not return. So keeping separated longer till the rest of the mob can join. Think my big girls in for a treat with the speckled sussex, they are nuts!!
