OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I have 100+ assorted chicks due for hatch this weekend. I'm located near Cambridge, Oh if anyone is interested. My birds lay all different colors & hatches will be sorted by color of egg hatched from.

How many do you think I can smuggle in a purse undetected by my husband?

What's best to use to ID birds? I want to band the chicks i have at some point. Would wing bands be worth it if i don't show? I am thinking of getting either the spiral bands or numbered zip ties. The regular bands seem like they would be hard to get on a Cochin without messing up the leg feathers.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I just started using the numbered zip ties this year. I really like them.

Picked up a dozen Buckeye chicks from SRHartley on Tuesday. They are in the brooder and doing well so far. Almost forgot how quick little chicks switch from on to off.

Hey all! I just found out that Champion Feed in Delaware is having their Poultry Swap on Saturday, May 30th. Still plenty of time to fire up those incubators!

Here is a link to their Facebook page for contact information. They haven't published the flyer yet, but the folks at the store should be able to fill you in.
