OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I see a trend here....  :gig

Yes big trend! Start with 12and one prefab coop Build 1st coop 8x12 add more chickens 20 really, remove 6 of the first bunch. Then build 2nd coop 10x16 and bring home 3, then 2 that are laying fertile eggs that you hatched 3 of,bring home 6pullets, 9 quail and throw in guineas. Ummm currently waiting for 12 Jersey Giant eggs to hatch. So at 34now in all. Must have more birds!

Chicken owner by accident, by looking into a noisy chirpy tub of fluffy birds, then walk away and by mistake coming back asking a lot of question and end up coming home with 2 day old chicks, and wife telling me "but you don't know anything about chickens much more bringing home 10 chicks"!

Accidental chicken mom here, took in city chickens ... The old chicks for Easter story. Started with 6, lost 2 hens to coyotes, gave away two Roos as we had 3 and they fought, a friend donated 3 hens then took in a hen that was living in a city alley. Back to 6, and staying with that as it's the perfect number to fit our coop and provide eggs.

City girl married to a farmer. He wanted chickens for eggs. I ordered 25 chicks fell in love. He built me a 10x15 coop with a 15 X 30 run. I ordered 25 more!!! I was hooked. Built coop # 2 to breed Swedish Flower Hens, then 4 breeding pens 4 x8 with runs, next came a grow out pen 10 X 15 with. 15 x 30 run. We are finishing up 5 new breeding pens for Silverudds Blues that we are importing from Sweden with a group. All total of 12 coops in 4 years. We are done with coops as I have more than enough to take care of. Chicken math yes I have it!!!!
Lucky to have such a great hubby who likes to build. We have had s great year so far selling hatching eggs, chicks & chickens oh & eating eggs to a small grocery.
