Maria (Crunchie) and I are leaving in the wee hours Friday morning, which should have us arriving at the showgrounds between 9 and 10 a.m. I am showing bantam Polish and Maria will have her lovely Dutch. Can't wait to meet more BYC friends, far and wide! Going to local shows only has me talking with close-in state BYCers. THIS is gonna be SO MUCH FUN!!!!

I still have the (4) 2 week old Blue Laced Red Wyandotte chicks if anyone is interested in them. I would be happy to meet someone "off the fairgrounds" since it is frowned upon to sell on the grounds from what I read earlier. $20.00 takes all four! PM me if interested. I am off to work here in a few minutes so won't be able to check for messages until later today. I also still have the PET quality Silver Laced Brahma cockerel for $5.00.

As i have somehow turned into the "tour guide" for my Delaware friends - if anyone needs ideas or directions to off site areas or "better" restaurants let me know ....

Yes the fairgrounds food is $$$ and dried up and day old - always is - been going there since i was a kid for dog shows and rabbit shows - i think they have not changed the menu in all the years!

Oh my gosh!!!! I know! I have a 13 year old boy that is a garbage disposal! He has been ordering adult meals for a couple years now. I have 3 more boys that will be teenagers at the same time. I don't think the girls are as bad.​

My 14-year old daughter is already 6 feet tall, and laughs as she looks down on her 5'8" mother. Trust me, girls can be just as bad....

I am soooo looking forward to meeting so many BYC people!!! The ones I have already met are fantastic

April, you are soooo lucky! Your pet sitter has absolutely GOT to be the most qualified chicken sitter EVER. And, excellent with the kids, too. You sure lucked out!

(Of course, if you DO come home to find birds gone and children in the cages, I'll have to rethink that comment.

) My "sitter" is great too ... my hubby is staying home to take care of everything while I'm gone. Such a good guy!

I'll make sure to check out the upstairs view of the judging floor. I'll have both of my cameras on hand, so LOTS of pics coming home with me! Tell Kay that Maria and I will stop at her jewelry table after we're settled. Can't wait to see you!

I think I'm all ready! Well, the chicken stuff is packed, and the birds are bathed & all set. I'm still wading through laundry. But if the birds are good to go, that's the important part...right?

I am so excited! So excited that I let Gretchen talk me into leaving at a seriously obscene hour tomorrow morning. But that's all good. I want to get there early, too!

Can't wait to see the show & say hey to everyone.
