Okay What would your DH do?

I make 99% of the mess in the master bath so I keep it clean myself. Years ago I ripped out the useless garden tub and put in a door to the outside. I also put in a door to the room that I use for hatching/starting chicks. I use the outside door when going out to tend to the chickens or other outside chores. They are only 25' from this door. Shavings and dirt are brought in and this is where I keep my shoes and clothes that I use for outside chores. I sweep up the dirt and shavings daily, then once a week I mop the floor. If it is muddy outside I keep the mop in the ringer to remove the stains right then.

Ridgerunner, I agree with you about mops. I got so frustrated with the "sponge on a stick" that the DW use to use that I went and bought a commercial mop and wringer.

Oh no, they exist. They're rare and most coveted but you know how if you're the girl with curly hair you long for the nice, flat, straight hair while the rest of us sigh over your curls? If you're the one with the smaller bra size you hope and dream and exercise trying to get that C or D while those of us with the Cs and Ds would do anything to wake up one morning perky little Bs? Yeah, these husbands are like that. They SEEM wondrous until you spend a whole day trying to cook while your kitchen is systematically re-organized to operate more efficiently even though HE never actually operates in the kitchen. Don't leave him home alone with nothing to do or you'll find your living room and part of your bedroom re-arranged. Wait, is that the husband cleaning out the dishwasher? Now all your utensils and dishes will be where they SHOULD be not where they have been for years. You didn't actually need a bandaid did you? Oh, because NOW they're a part of some huge medical dispensary that contains ALL the medical supplies and they've been carefully organized alphabetically (which in itself is weird if you have a medical background) because there's absolutely NO need to have bandaids in every room of the house when you have eight kids some of which are incredibly injury prone.
LOL! Actually I adore this man and my life but some of this stuff can be so infuriating .....but we say nothing because the wonderfully planned and built chicken houses, the fencing jobs, the handmade, amazing greenhouse, the endless composting and gardening... all those things keep our mouths shut.

I see what you mean. But I still want those perky little B'. Or even a C!!

This very thing happened in our house this morning. I slept late (not smart aleck comments Marlin, I'm sick

) and DH couldn't find the cat food. It's usually kept (in the bag) in the same tote with the dog food, but I had put the new bag of cat food in the pantry instead.
DH said he finally found it in the pantry, grabbed it up and it spilled everywhere, due to a hole in the bottom of the bag. He fed the cats, cleaned up some of the mess on the floor and then he called Jax (our GSD) to clean up the rest.

He would say the same thing, plus some other stuff and then tell me about it, with the thought hanging that I should be the one to clean it up, which I would do. . .saves trouble. I am not married to a guy that can be cajoled, bullied, or sweet talked into doing anything he isn't wanting to do. Nuts.

If hubby was heading off to work and rushed in the morning he would have left it till he came home from work.....but yes, he would have picked it up after work.
If it was the weekend..he would have picked it up right away...

Mine told me to put the animals to sleep, told me to pack my *schtuff* and leave cuz he planned on selling my childhood home out from under me and he didn't care where me and our 2 little girls went, and so he abandoned us and joined the army and never looked back.

But I decided to stay in my childhood home with my little girls and get 2 more cats.

Come to think of it... got more ducks, chickens, and a rabbit too.
