***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Giving someone else's dog away isn't covered by the law. That's a sticky wicket right there. If you don't want to shoot it, then give it back to them and tell them that they are responsible for penning it and replacing your poultry every time it gets out and kills your chickens, because it will continue to kill them.

I wouldn't expect the neighbor to keep the dog penned up since the chickens don't mean anything to them. Sad but true. Can't say I would shoot a dog that wonders up to my place, but coyotes are dogs & I don hesitate to TRY & shoot them. They dodge bullets real well though! We have never had a dog wonder up to our place, prob has a lot to do with the length of our driveway!

Thankful that you caught the dog. Did you loose any birds?

This time it got one of my good salmon faverolles girls

I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a coyote but this particular pup doesn't look like anything like one of those. I'm at a loss. I guess I'll wait til morning and bring it to the shelter. I hope someone is there early.

Tonight is hamburger and dirty rice. But you see... I get acorn squash because nobody in my house will eat it but me and I can't have it go bad now can I??

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Our dinner is fend for yourself. That is what we usually have when DH has duty. No need for me to cook when he isn't going to be here. Kids are happy with me not forcing them to eat what I cook.

Rumor has it DH should be getting orders next wk for a new position. If everything goes through it will be great since he will be here 2 more yrs. But he will be working LONG hours & even working some weekends. Plus pulling more all-nighters. But having him home some will be better than having him home none.

Well, we're still in limbo wondering if James is going to be voluntold to 'stan. I hate the waiting part. He's at work, but the kids are still a bit too young to fend completely for themselves...
