They ARE real. At the Wild Animal Park in San Diego, the wild boar and the meer cat? I think that's what he is.... Anyway. At the park the cages for these two animals are right next to each other. Disney artists and writers spent a lot of time at the WAP doing sketches, taking photos and videos, and researching. If you ride the tram around the park, you'll see the hill that is in the opening scene of the movie. We were lucky enough to witness a herd of antelope rushing over the hill. It was identical to the scene in the film, only better: because it was real.

now you are making me homesick....

Robin,
the small red seeds that look similar to a BB are Milo, they have very little feed value. Cracked corn, or wheat is much better in feed value. We often found that by purchasing a bag of cracked corn, a bag of wheat, and a bag of Black sun flower we had 150 lbs of scratch for less than we could buy it for as scratch and did not have the waste of teh Milo.

I work less than 10 minutes from my house. Financially it is a TON cheaper (even with gas) for me to go home at lunch. There's no fridge at work because of the nature of what we do (and what our clients are capable of) so it's either pack stuff that has enough preservatives that I don't have to refrigerate it

, buy lunch, or go home and eat lunch.

nanakat, thanks for the suggestion, but appearently my girls are drawing a line and digging their heels in!!!! I have tried three times now w/ the boiled okra, this last time it was the only thing I gave them first thing when they think they are the hungriest and left it for several hours, still a no go! So far it is the ONLY thing I have found they refuse flat out to eat.

Robin and poco, I would sooooo love to go to that zoo!

I understand, I eat at my desk alot. I don't feel like going anywhere so I don't. I live less than 10 minutes too but I do have the refridge here & microwave.

Could you keep the little coffee cup hot plate thing at your desk? if you locked it up when you weren't there?

I've thought about using a candle warmer base to warm up my cup every now and then (i.e. replace candle with cup). I probably could do something that I could lock up.
