***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Crisp morning! Had several who did NOT want to come out of their coops even for scratch and oats....but were willing to eat inside the coop when I set a tuna can in there full of goodies.

We had an earthquake at 2:30 this morning. USGS showed it to be a mile east of us on highway 62...3.2 mag. It was 3 miles deep so there was some shaking but no visible damage. This is really getting old!!

Nope. The next oldest batch is 11 weeks old. If I put her in with them, they'll probably kill her. So it's her, a stuffie, and a mirror right now. I also won't get any more chicks until spring or later because I don't know what this crap is.

Get you som eggs, send them this way and you can pick them up at 7 weeks of age as they clear the brooders. That is if that will help you out.

Good morning Nanakat,
But then again I'm sure you have been going for a while by now.. I agree this weather change and shaking ground is getting to me too. I thought you might enjoy something Steph found on facebook.

I might do that, but I'm trying to convince James to work with me on some coops first. I want to make at least 2 more.

Look at it this way, once to get the eggs and say you pick them up at 7 weeks of age that is 10 weeks to work on the coop issue, if its not done by then it could become a rush coop because you need it.. I can give the phone number of a young man who can build you whatever you want he does a very good job and is quite reasonable.

this is getting tough, I keep forgetting how many birds I have here and the list just seems to grow.
