We did give you the standard disclaimer about the enablers on this thread who will want to assist you in the acquisition of more birds than you have already built coops for, didn't we?

This forum is not for those that can't protect themselves from chicken enablers.

That sounds like a bet. I love bets and I rarely lose.

Just wait until you go to an auction. All defenses will be defeated then and you'll be addicted to those too. The good thing is that they'll cheer you on when you bid on something. Look what I wound up with at a chicken auction

Robin
So glad you are enjoying your little silkied serama...they ARE amazing...he came from a group and had NEVER been handled. With just a little love and attention they become gentle very quickly. When I'm training a bird for a Table Top show, I just sit them on a small table and leave them there with food and water (I'm someplace nearby supervising)...after a short time they just think of it as 'home' and are perfectly content and happy. They are real 'home-bodies' and make wonderful pets.

Robin, he's in a bird cage? Just how small are these guys.....? They don't want to take off and go poking around? I've got my 2 Doves inside but Doves aren't like chickens. They don't actually LIKE me and want to see what I'm doing, they're not tame like my chickens. If I could find a bird that size that acted chicken-like I think I'd really like that.
I'm going to go look these guys up properly. I've resisted all I can resist. You all are nothin' but a bunch of enablers!
Where can I find one of these Silkied Serama??

yep, they are incredible little guys- he will sit on the top of his cage and just watch all the activity, here are a few pics, you can see how small this guy is- i'll get some of the pair posted in a bit- the cage is about 20"x 20" x 28" tall, i plan on them having a 'playpen' when the weather is nice- go see Junes, they will steal your heart, i promise!

faerie,
I didn't tell you what is due here, or that I know where the Dun and Dun laced bantams are did I? I will get to you... the powers of persuasion are strong, I also now where you can get bantam BLR wyandotte... or did you want bantam Columbian, silver laced? what was it? I know you need a trio of each.. you just don't know it yet.

Here is the pair, Boaz is ten ounces, Ruth is 7, and he is very protective of her, he will get in between me and her, eve taking photos is a challenge...

I've had chickens for a year and a half now and had amazing will power in keeping only Cochins (That 1 little Naked Neck doesn't really count).
The Seramas might just be the breed to break me if you Enabelers keep posting pics!
Disclaimer -When you see that I have Cochins in 7 different colors and both sizes, my will power doesn't seem so impressive!
