***OKIES in the BYC III ***

One of my daughters called and needs me to babysit for my precious little grandsons Friday night so they can go to their Sunday School class Christmas party. They live in Edmond and I usually spend the night there because I don't like driving at night.
I'll leave there early Saturday morning for home and will not be able to make it for Breakfast at IHop.
But I will come to the Expo for the Chicken show and would also like to meet folks for lunch if a group is going to do that.

No snow here. The henhouse was a comfortable 40 degrees this morning. The wind was sure bitter.
Gave out turnip greens all around and was rewarded with 21 eggs this afternoon...with 2 hens still laying.

I have got to know how u got 21 eggs from 2 hens in one afternoon.

I give mine turnip greens all the time, but I just get one egg from one faithful little hen about 5 days a week, but I guess I should give them credit they are molting right now. Bet they hurry up w/ that this week!!!!

A group of us always get together and go to Abulita Rosa's at 177 and 45th.

I think I will be able to go. I know I wont make it for breakfast. How will I know who everybody is? I'm really new. I have never been to a chicken show or auction, and have no idea what to expect.

If it can be coridinated correctly most of us will be wearing our POOPS shirts.. other than that just ask someone else you know who is who or just talk to everyone till to have met the ones you want to. There are several of us who will spend all day talking to everyone we run into and not remember names well. So please don't fault us for that. I have several friends coming in from all over the country and will spend a good deal of teh time bouncing around the barn but should make lunch so long as someone else reminds me..

Who is scheduling the room at abulitas?

I should be able to make either breakfast or lunch on Saturday, but probably not both. Not sure yet which it will be. It will be fun to get to see lots of BYC folks all in one place and visit with everyone. I'm looking forward to it.

RetiredArmyWife - the POOPS shirts jarvis is referring to are t-shirts that some of us have. They say POOPS or People of Oklahoma Poultry Swap, usually with a year printed on them also. Mine is from 2011, is maroon colored and has a rooster printed on it. I've seen other colors of shirts too. Just look at what folks are wearing and you'll run into a BYCer before you know it.

Edited twice to correct sentences.
