Wow, what do you call that color?
Don't get me wrong, I still love round birds - Cochins, Orpingtons, Wyandotts... But Mitzi's entheusiasim (sp?) and all the colors everyone is posting is making me pay attention. Plus I was facinated by the Modern Games at the Shawnee show and am thinking about getting a couple.

It doesn't have a name, Brazilians can be any color, much like the Serama. One of the reasons I got them in the first place.

old*cowboy :

Lived in Okla all my life. Just the last couple been hearing all the quakes. Makes a person wonder what is happenin down below the ground.

I was told that it was our forefathers turning over in there graves due to the way that this country is being ran!

Good Morning Okies!!!!!!! BF and I went to dinner last night at Outback........ate WAY too much, but had a good time. Kids are with my late husbands family doing Christmas and won't be home until tomorrow afternoon. Today is going to be spent with some final wrapping and delivering some of the goodies we made (tea cakes, shortbread and banana bread) and then a "whole lotta nothing"........I love days you don't have to rush! Hope it is going to be a great one for all of you! Safe journey's to those traveling or who have loved ones traveling!

Brrrr - feels like Christmas weather, even if we don't get snow or ice as we have the past few years around Christmas.

Is anyone getting poultry or poultry related items for Christmas?

Morning all. Hope everyone can stay warm today. Well got all the Christmas shopping done finally. Well it was suppose to be done but somebody(wify) keeps finding more presents. Sofar the girls have opened 10 presents each and have 16 more a Pec under the tree and 18 a pic from from the jolly old fat man. Think my girls are spoiled?

Ho, ho, ho!

Mom arrived safely, early, so she helped me finish getting the guest room in order. Embarrassing, to say the least, to have her show up and not have the folded laundry off the guest bed yet. I guess it just proves that people live here.

All the birds seem to be doing well in the cooler weather. If the wind dies down, I'm going to let the silkies out to play in what's left of the grass.

Kass - I saw a red-tailed hawk above our pasture this morning, and it reminded me of your photos. I hope it was hunting mice rather than scoping out the juvenile pens.

Better put my gloves and hat back on and finish feeding the birds. Maybe I'd better wear a scarf, too, so that my "Hello Chickens!" smile doesn't freeze on my face. Have a great day, everyone!
