I think your husband may have some new ideas when he gets home, after seeing how have things set up here. It does make my life a lot easier.

Somehow I'm pretty sure that you can take care of yourself......It might have something to do with that wide comment, just a hint.

I am done playing in the dirt today. Put about 200+ tomato plants into 4" pots & started sweet & hot peppers plus some ground cherries & a few other things I want to experiment with this yr. After all the weathered cleared the first bird DD ever hatched-- her favorite pretty roo flogged me! He has always been kind, but today he comes up & pecks at my boots - I pushed him back with my foot (in a nice way, I didn't kick him). Then he comes back at me! So then I kicked him & called the dog over to watch out for me. I honestly barely felt it, but I imagine he will get better @ flogging with practice. DD won't be happy if he continues to flog. She loves that rooster!
Jarvis thanks for the recommendation of smiths poultry for leg bands. They came within 2 days of me ordering them & my birds are very excited to have their own jewelry.
I also ordered a bunch of dog, goat & chicken meds plus some needles & oxine from revival animal health. All their items appeared to be cheaper than most places, stuff arrived fast & they threw in a calendar & some valentines candy hearts. The only thing that wasn't cheaper was tylan50-- in is $10.95 @ Ross seed. Overall very happy with my orders. Now I get to worm everyone this weekend & will clean my hatcher & incubator with oxine.

Just finished reading the thread all about the NEOCS being planned for June. There's been a whole lot of planning going on! POCO..nice layout for the Muskogee Fair Barn.

We have POOPS, NEOCS and Green County as opportunities for huge get-togethers as well as all the different local auctions. What a friendly group the OKIES are!!!

Makes me so eager to be able to attend these events this year since hubby is doing so much better.

I catch my guineas with a net or @ night while they are asleep. If they are free ranging I can catch one. Put it in the cage then everyone else will come over to investigate. I do have one or 2 that seem to give me a harder time than the others.

I did catch the 3rd one by putting the 1st 2 in a big wire crate and leaving the door open to the covered pen, he walked right in and I shut the door. Seems girls are smarter than that (hey-just sayin')
Wasn't there someone here who wanted a male guinea? Whoever it was, do you still want it? Or 2? The 3rd male has been here over 12 yrs and I'm keeping him.

Is this pearl, with the spots? This one is named "Big Mouth" and her sister is "Shut Up Already". The boys I really don't mind, it's the girls that are such blabbermouths.

I appreciate it and my thirsty birds do, too! 1 gal waterers just aren't big enough for these Cochins.

I think you protest in hopes it will happen again.. You now if like the abuse all you really have to do is say so, I am sure they will all jump in then.
