Slow, cloudy kinda gloomy day, but temps are nice, how are things in your neck of teh woods?

cloudy too. I'm fixing to move to Oklahoma one of these days. How will the chickens deal with the wind there? When my chickens aren't used to the wind down in Louisiana. temps are like averaging 50 deg.f.

Where do you keep the tank at? I'm guessing in a barn? I have a full outbuilding no room and probably not safe for chicks so I've been using the back bedroom in the house for them gets a bit dusty in there but I know nothing is going to get at them till they are big enough to at least run away if they can LOL

We have a bonus room on the house with a hot tub. I set it on the floor on little riser boards . The hot tub runs in the winter so it keeps the room temp from freezing. Also use a little floor heater when it's really cold. All my plants are out there too.

My recent hatch is active and noisy. I know they aren't cold because they're all over the brooder. They make a lot of noise when they jump off the feeder and land on a pile of brothers and sisters.

We've got a creepy fog outside today. I can almost see the pond, so there's enough light to feed and water the animals without carrying a flashlight. Slow start today... but at least I'm over the worst of the Curse of the Dreaded Tamale.

They seem to get used to it. Bet they would rather deal w/ the wind even the Western OK wind then the gators!!!!!

My hens actually seem to enjoy being outside in the wind. They race around flapping their wings in the gusts. It is quite amuzeing to watch.

afternoon guys, sadly lost my casper this morning, my cockerel that was shipped- apparently had cocci.... i am so aggravated!! such a gorgeous soft boy! another reminder why quarantining is so important... been a rough week...

thanks Kass, am reading that using ACV in the water can prevent the parasite that causes it...anyone here this??
