***OKIES in the BYC III ***

P&B I hate it when that happens! I have to make sure I turn mine off on the weekends but alas I still don't sleep in anymore!

I can tell today is going to be another long day~ we updated some software yesterday & it is giving me fits today.......

I hope you all stick around & so I have something else to think about other than pitching my computer out the window.

I'll be in and out today, I'm at work, my last several shifts have been extremely busy, hoping for a better day today.

I pickled several thousand eggs through the years. Dont ADD anything. After you have boiled them leave them in a pan of pure vineager for 24 hours and the shell will be desolved off where all you have to do is peel off the soft inner membrane of the shell that is left. It is pretty amazing.

Wow you guys were a chatty bunch last night! It may take me all day to catch up. I am on my Friday so got to get through the next 10 hours and my 9 years basketball practice, then 3 days at home with my little feather babies. We hope to finish the last of phase one of the "Chicken Condos".
Gave Nathaneal's little hen a bath last night. She is either used to getting baths or just didn't have it in her fight me. She did squak a bit during her bath but she LOVED being blown dry. She kept closing her eyes or turning this way and that to get the warm air where she wanted it. Kind of cracked me up. Of course my 18 year old son thought I was insane when he asked what I was doing in the bathroom so long. I told him "giving a chicken a bath" he said "um yah that isn't redneck". He doesn't get the feather babies yet but he is coming along I caught him talking to Nathanael's hen last night, lol.

Teen aged boys are so NOT into chickens haha!
I bathe and dip every single new chicken I get if I get and literally every single one has been awesome in the bathtub. I don't know what it is about chickens, warm water and blow dryers but they act like they've found their Heaven.


P&B, I have an old old Tracfone I carry in my purse in case I forget my main phone or in some sort of emergency, I keep minutes on it. But I can leave that thing in my purse for a month if I forget to turn it off before it starts the 'low battery' beep. A cheap little $10 tracfone, amazing.
Robin, I tried it that way and it didn't work but I must have done something wrong if it works for you lol

Hi everyone? I'm new. Posted a couple of time. Still a chicken virgin. Meaning mine haven't arrived yet. I'm always trying to catch up reading all y'alls post at the end of the day so I never post. Anyway. Looking forward to POOPS and NEOCS. We just moved yo Collinsville fom Tulsa. We call it our Muddy Acre. Seriously not a tree in sight and clay up tomour eyeballs. They had to rent a "hammer" whatever that is to dig for the septic through 3 feet of limestone. Makes me wonder if I'll be abevto do a limitless fence myself. I'm a 5 foot 100 lg Girl ha ha ok just kidding about the girl part.

Ksane the vinegar will flavor the eggs, but it is a pleasant flavor (I use vinegars that I like the flavor of like balsamic)

Hey everyone!
Well today is like Friday for the students since they do not have to be here tomorrow. Kind-of pulling my hair out trying to get them to get their work done.

Tomorrow is our professional development day but only have to work til 12:30

I will be so glad when tomorrow is over. So looking forward to a three day weekend
