***OKIES in the BYC III ***

LOL well I do have that other roo.....
I've heard that EE's taste like pheasant. Is this true?
We are butchering a few EE Roos next wk (yes we do love our birds, and we have some that are pets) guinea fowl are suppose to taste like pheasant, but I doubt an EE would. Imagine it taste like chicken!

Hi all! I have yet to post in the Okies in the BYC. I thought when I did I’ve have a clever story to open with or something of substance to share.
Well, that’s not the case LOL.
I am reaching out to any softies out there that need an EE Roo to add to their flock. He is very sweet with the hens *wink wink*. He is 5 ½ months old and his name is Sparks. He is tame and was raised on our laps. He would cuddle on my husbands shoulder while he sat in his chair watching TV. You’d have to know my tough Army stud husband to appreciate how extraordinary that was, and that also explains why he won’t be in the freezer.
He is beautiful, as you can see by the pictures. Unfortunately he is being picked on by my Delaware rooster, whom is the BIG CHEEZ around these here parts.
I have one other EE Roo that I am sure I will have to keep, as he has twisted toes. He also picks on Sparks! That one may end up in the freezer. He was also raised on our laps and that has been his saving grace so far!

Let me know if you need an EE Rooster for non shake and bake purposes.
If I have placed this post in the wrong place, please don't rip me a new one

just let me know, and I will gladly edit it with some clever opener or something of substance!

His tail feathers were damaged.

He is a very handsome rooster, wish I could take him but I do not need another EE roo.

What time is the auction in Newcastle??

6:00 pm Be there or be square!!! hehehehe!

We are going to the Elgin auction tonight also. Hope to see ya there. I will have the skinny hubby and skinny 4 year old.

Wish I could be two places at one time. I would like to go to both auctions. Dang, where is a clone when you need one.

Do the chest freezers have lids? And how big are they? I may be interested if the size is right, I need a place to store extra horse feed and those are ideal, of course only if your FIL is willing. Right now the extra sacks get stored in my garden shed.... and I need the room in there!

DH just left today to help his Mom move from Skiatook to south of Tulsa area and he has the trailer with him. He'll be back in 1-2 weeks and can pass through there on the way home. I'll just have to talk him into leaving enough room on the trailer when he brings stuff home from Moms. She's giving us her lawn tractor with large sprayer and other attachments.

Our mower is tired and needs to be replaced and she's downsizing from almost 20 acres to a small yard.

Is that a barrel laying there in the bottom picture? I could take that too if nobody else has claimed it yet.

Ok guys- i need some help- i can haul this junk from one side of the property to the other- but i need it relocated- not far, just to the side- its not our stuff, but FIL, so i can't just haul it off- but no one here can do it physically- so if someone could help and let me know what to pay i'd sure appreciate it! I am thinking this may be the source of what my girls got into...

there are a couple chest freezers and and fridge i may be able to get FIL to donate them...:
