Rules
The egg contest is for chicken eggs that are less than 30 days old.
Each child may enter up to 6 eggs.
Eggs will be assigned a number & placed on a table for viewing.
Voting will be available for all Poops attendees.
Each voter will pick the egg that they think is
Largest

Prettiest
Darkest
Oddest
All votes will be totaled & the egg in each category with the most votes will be declared the winner.

Cathie, the blues are going to be blue. Whoever marked the eggs probably just marked "Black Cochin" because she knew the eggs were from her Black Cochin bantam. But-if she's got a Blue or Splash rooster in with the Black hen then you can expect to get Blue Black or Splash babies.

Sorry tried to reply to this last night from home but I guess the dial up was to slow or something, lol. Thanks for the help Mitzi! Jackson is excited he wants another kind of bird besides his buff brahma pair so now he can have the blues. Kurt has some black ones he got from auction so I will give him the black ones. Then I think the boys are done. Nathanael will need some OEGB hens to mate up with his mutt boys but those can wait until fall, I am setting out last eggs this weekend then we will be done hatching until after July 4th.

Elwood, I love the flowers!!! Especially the roses! I want a trellis like that I will have to show hubby how you made that! Those water flowers are very pretty, I might have to try some of those in our pond. I tried water flowers last year and then the pond went and dried up!

Elwood I loved those pics!! I wish I had a pond. Fishing is one of my big loves in life, unfortunately I don't get to do that much anymore. Anyone need their ponds fished?

Ohhh that little owl looks like he is giving the ol' stink eye! but that is so neat she got a picture of it like that.

Shellie you can come fish our pond all you want!!! Oh wait that is only if you like turtle because that and snakes is all that is in my pond! We want fish but we can't keep the turtles from eating everything else! The snakes are bad this year we have killed 3 already.

any of that sound sincere? just wondered, thought i would try and make people think i liked mornings.

i hate mornings, sleeping real good all comfotable and warm in the blankets then some annoying loud noise starts bothering you, then the alarm goes off and the annoying noise turns it off.

you get up and trip over your shoes, then bang your shin on the bed frame.


no breakfast cause the annoying noise doesnt want to get up, just wants YOU to get up.


oh well, hope everybody has a great day.

Don't blame her a bit, my view on breakfast is if you wake up hungry, you got two arms and two legs, you can pour it as good as I can! Yep I said pour b/c that is the ONLY type of breakfast you will get from me. I am so not a morning person and really dislike noise in the morning so no one wants me near knives and fire in the morning!

I've got lots to do in the garden today. I need to move dirt up to the new herb bed I've been working on and finish it, haul runner grass roots from where I dug them up at the tire towers back to the runner grass root pile, go through and replant okra and squash where it didn't come up, plant a couple pyrethium seeds w/ each squash set. I know there is more, but let's see how far I get on this list.

Morning everyone! all plants and animals dealt with, glad to see I'm not the only one considering the difficulties of breakfast this morning. I think it's a cereal morning for the rugrats, just not in the mood to do much else.
