My Mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in law stopped in to see the goings on with all the birds, booths and raffle table and to just check out what was going on. They didn't stay long, but were extremely impressed with how friendly people were and had fun looking at all the birds.
My MIL is 85 and had never seen a silkie before...she couldn't believe that a chicken had no feathers but was all fluff. She was also intrigued by the free Serama in the cage. They didn't stay for lunch, although they were invited by several folks. BIL didn't have his insulin and SIL was afraid MIL was getting warm. MIL was attracted to the pink afghan on the raffle table.
I was lucky enough to win that lovely afghan made by one of our BYC wives.
MIL was thrilled and already has it displayed on her bed.
