Oh my gosh, I am so easily amused. We have chicken drama today. My two roosters have been getting along famously. Last night I let everyone out to range, and this morning realized that in the dark, two chickens hadn't gotten to bed with the others. So I tried to catch them, but instead of putting them in the coop, all the rest of them got out. So, I decided to just let them run and catch grasshoppers. I did some yard work and decided to sit and watch them. Well, Jamie, my LF Dominique roo decided to take a walk on the wild side, and went over and topped Ushas, my little silkie hen (Silkiniques, FTW!). Ushas is one of The Brig's ladies. The Brig, my bantam Cochin roo, was having none of that, so he walked over right in front of Jamie and topped one of HIS hens. (The little engine that could, man! I guess size DOESN'T matter!) Then the two of them squared off and glared at each other a whole bunch and then turned around and walked away with their own hens. I will go back out later, and hopefully there will be pictures. I love chicken drama. It's so much more entertaining than people drama.
