Ok, I gotta ask, what does the acronym "dh " stand for?
We tried leg bands, ties and many other things they are a great deal of work and require constant changing as the birds grow. I toe punch everything that hatches and that mark grows with them and stays for life. It is and will be my favorite method with the least input of time required.what are some ways to mark chicks so i can tell em apart & know who's who? saw some have used zip ties or Velcro strips on legs are these safe for new chicks?
Got new chicks todaythey are so cute!![]()
Suppose to be Buff Orpingtons lady @ tractor supply was not for sure, chicks were all mixed up. What do yall think?
Is this a roost for birds? ur babies are cute!Just a few pics of what's going on around here.
I swear I have no idea how they got into my basket. I went to buy cat food and stopped at the grocery store and when I got home they were in the car with me. Lol.Not quite as bad as my friend who went to the store buy ammunition and brought home 20 chickens instead. At least I only have 5 new ones ... Plum, Milkshake, Pudding, Bramble, and Cobbler.![]()
And I spent some time this week designing seed packets for a seed exchange with an eye to the possible future of selling seed ... never know. It was fun to do anyway.
Just a pic of structure in the new coop. I need to take some new pics of progress from this point.
